About Us
As Castlegar’s sole used bookstore, we strive to bring our local book lovers together. Second Look Used Books creates a welcoming space in the community for books and bookworms alike. Adventure, knowledge, inspiration- Second Look has something for everyone!
Owner Sharon Swanson opened the business in October 2019 to bring joy and value to her fellow Castlegarians. She has collected over 18,000 books from local stores and readers to create a diverse selection for everyone to enjoy. Walk in during the week to get her personal recommendation or ask our other employees, who are more than happy to help you find your perfect match.
Save your well-loved stories from a junkyard by donating them to our store! Because local customers are our first priority, we not only accept book donations- we offer store credit for those who give used books in good condition. Give your fellow readers a chance to rediscover hidden gems!
Have a specific book in mind? Our employees can add your book request and contact information to our Wishlist and contact you personally when we receive the book(s) you are looking for.
